Meet Geek Collateral Media’s team:
Devin Edwards, CEO and founder of Geek Collateral Media, is a writer, editor, artist, and all-round geek living in Toronto. When he isn’t painting his miniatures or writing his fantasy novel, Devin runs Geek Collateral Media, works as a technical writer, pens scripts for Atomcraft Entertainment, and creates art for Apple of my Odd Eye (an arts production company based in Toronto).
Major fandoms: literature, Dungeons and Dragons, Magic: The Gathering, Firefly
Minor: Warhammer, visual art, tech gadgets
Sarah Varnam, chief operating officer for Geek Collateral Media, is also a writer, editor, and artist. As a small child, she believed in Klingons with the same credulity with which some children embrace Santa Claus. In addition to her work with Geek Collateral Media, Sarah copyedits and copywrites through Write Out Editing, edits The Quilliad, manages and paints for Apple of my Odd Eye, and procrastinates on all of the above with web comics and BSG fan videos.

Minor: Star Trek, board games, Dungeons and Dragons, Magic: The Gathering
Sean Marjoram, chief creative officer, is an award-winning film maker. He is a Canadian Armed Forces veteran and an associate member of the Canadian Society of Cinematographers. Formerly, he has worked as a daily electrician on Hollywood films like Jumper, The Incredible Hulk, and The Time Traveler’s Wife. His off time is dedicated to his wife, listening to Magic: The Gathering podcasts, and watching the Major League Gaming pro tours, in non-specific order. His independent work is showcased at seangm.com and is only a small token of the expertise he brings to Geek Collateral Media.

Minor: Neil Gaiman, Invader Zim, Dungeons and Dragons, meteorology
Dan Edwards is our resident manly man. Dan is the personnel director for Geek Collateral Media; his previous jobs included tasks such as wrestling alligators and giant snakes (no joke!). Because of his expertise with reptiles, he naturally evolved into an animal photographer. He has traversed the Australian Outback and spent time in a remote research station in Costa Rica. He is an advanced student in Systema, the Russian martial art.
Major fandoms: Punisher comics, The Dark Tower Series (Gunslinger), photography
Minor: Game of Thrones, The Walking Dead
Kenny Koberstadt, our resident board game expert/content writer, has been playing video games since before he could walk, taught himself how to read by looking at nutrition fact lists on the sides of cereal boxes, and traded Go Fish for Euchre when he was 10. Like any good graduate with a B.A. in English, when he isn’t writing, Kenny works as a barista. In his spare time, you will find him hosting game nights in his home, Board Game House, rocking out with his band, or planning his next Pokémon team.
Major fandoms: Pokémon, board games, music
Minor fandoms: Magic: The Gathering, Tolkien, tabletop games, poetry and literature
Steph Chaves is a vampire. Well, not really—just for Halloween. She’s also recently been Daenerys Targaryen and a creepy broken doll. In her slightly more normal life, she’s a Toronto writer and editor with a love for horror, anime, and a number of other unapologetically geeky things. A self-professed nerd, Steph is also a submissions editor and social media assistant for The Quilliad, a local literary journal, and reads Japanese court poetry in her spare time. You can read her literary musings at http://sechaves.com/.
